Grade Control Products Aluminum GPS Rod, Two-Piece

The Grade Control Products GCP105 is a fixed-height, two-piece 2-meter GPS rod: the two 1-meter sections thread together into one solid length rather than telescoping, so there's no locking collar that can slip during use — a straightforward, foolproof setup that's popular with newer GPS operators and construction crews just getting into data collection. Its 5/8"-11 top thread is glued and pinned in place, so it won't back out or loosen over time. A 40-minute top-adjusting bubble vial — machined as a single aluminum piece with a high-contrast background — keeps the rod easy to level at a glance, and a titanium tip resists wear where the rod meets the ground. Built from 6061 aluminum alloy, it stands up to the bumps and drops of daily field use and breaks down to two 1-meter sections for transport.

Key Features
  • Fixed-height, thread-together design — no telescoping locking collar to slip during operational use, unlike a collapsible rover rod
  • Glued-and-pinned 5/8"-11 top thread — stays secure for the life of the rod instead of backing out under repeated attach/detach cycles
  • 6061 aluminum alloy construction — stands up to bumps and drops in daily field use
  • Two-piece, 1-meter-section design — breaks down small for transport and reassembles with a simple screw joint
  • 40-minute top-adjusting bubble vial — single-piece machined aluminum body with a high-contrast background for fast, accurate leveling
  • Titanium tip — resists wear at the point of ground contact for long-term accuracy
  • Standard 5/8"-11 top thread and 1.25 in. OD — the thread accepts GPS/GNSS receivers and prisms from any brand, while the OD fits standard bipods, data collector pole mounts, and UTV mounts that clamp onto the tube
Common Applications
  • RTK GNSS rover data collection
  • Construction layout and stakeout
  • Topographic and control surveying
  • Newer GPS operators who want a simple, no-slip setup over a telescoping rod
