excellent flagging

I think this is some great flagging! Using it in a forestry setting with full expose to most of the elements (the excepting being pro longed exposure to snow), I'm finding the flagging to last up to 3+ years with minimal fading and deterioration. Within my company we have stopped using the "more popular" texas flagging and completely switched to this brand solely because of the longevity and life expectancy of the flagging. Also from one who carries several roles in a pack at a time, the fact the flagging isn't as wide is a plus for packing.

I recently purchased a Dutch Hill fiberglass pole for my field crew. Their comments are that the pole is light and easy to use and the the twist lock release works great

Thank You

Best all around Tri-pod for the price and quality!!!

I have bought and used a lot of tripods over the years from Tri-Max, Dutch Hill, Burch, Aluminum, Composite and so on as we all have and can honestly say these are by far the best all around tripod for the money!!! Dutch Hill got it right with this model. They are a bit heavy but sturdy and and tough. The foot pegs are thick and wide and feel strong when stomping them in the ground. We are in SW Florida were the ground is swampy and sometime need the hit the top of the leg in with a 4 lbs hammer to drive it deep and the legs can take it time and time again. If you are looking for a high quality tripod for the money this is it.

Estwing Tools

This is by far the best digging tool I have ever purchased. I have to admit I paid a lot more for this item from a different vendor. This is a great price and well worth the money. I also recommend the E6-22BLC Bigface Bricklayer Hammer for general surveying use.

Rock Hammer

I used this hammer to mine Sunstones in Plush Oregon. It worked great. Very durable and comfortable for all day use. This is a high quality item that should last a long time.

Glad Baseline carries these.

My third Council Tool item and I was happy to see that Baseline carries the Flying Fox hatchet. First throw stuck and my gf who has never thrown a hatchet/axe stuck it in her first ten tries.

Grade Control Products Bipod

We purchased this bipod las winter and have been using it with both our GPS system and robotic total station. This bipod is very well made and the components are easily adjustable. When we attach this bipod to our rover pole or range pole it provides excellent stability. The stainless steel points have a much better design than other manufactures and allow greater ground penetration on rocky or hard soils. Overall this product is very well designed and stands up well to the rigors of Cadastral and Construction type surveying.

Hands Down Best ATV Mount for Mobil Surveying

I purchased this mount 8-9 months ago and it has been rock solid. I initially purchased the side mount that holds your GPS pole as you drive but rattled a lot and seamed like it was rough on the GNSS head not to mention getting caught in tall grass.

This unit is heavy and built out of thick steel and once mounted dose not move! The rubber sleeve dose a good job dampening the the vibration and helps when traversing across rough terrain. The data collector mount is make of the same steel and and works seamlessly. So far we have used this mount in the swamp a mine and in thick brush for both data collection and navigation.

At first I was skeptical and thought I might be getting overpriced plastic for the cost, but after installing it and using it in the Florida swamps and fields, I can say I'm overly impressed with this mount and it is well worth the money.

Good if you leave them on.

I'd give these gloves a 5 if the liner was better. I used these up in the Baaken Oil Fields (brutally cold) and they stay reasonably warm and have great grip and protective features. Problem is once they liner gets sweat and wet sometimes the liner will pull out of the fingers and it's a real challenge to get everything back together again. For that reason alone I stopped wearing them and went to a Kinco 901 and never looked back. Those Kinco gloves are super warm and bulletproof.

Yuley

Yuleys are great for coming in with dirty boots with out taking off shoes (and keeps the wife happy). The step off feature for removing them is absolutely easy without any bending. Sizing is by inches not shoe size so simply measure; go with their recommendation. I mistaken went by shoe size but Baseline Equipment exchanged and paid shipping. Now that's excellent service!

Nice piece of field equipment. No indication that battery will soon expire. Better keep a spare handy. A $1,700 + tool with a $2 carry strap. Too many connections on strap and low quality sewing. Finally made my own so unit wont crash to the ground!

Kishigo Black Series Raingear

I was skeptical at first to try this rain gear having only a picture on a web site to gauge the design, fit and quality. However, I took a chance and ordered the Jacket and bib pants. The material is lightweight and durable. I thought by the picture that it might be a flimsy plastic material, it turns out to be plasticy type, but not flimsy like it could be cut easily, The reflective material and bright orange color are vibrant and allow for great visibility. I wore it in on a foggy day and I was visible to my co worker, but I could not see him very well, the hood is good and the drawstring works good. I'm not a fan of tucking the hood away in the pocket they provide, because it creates a big bulge at the back of my neck. This jacket does allow the ability to remove the hood by unzipping it and that's my preference. the water proof pockets work great and have kept my item dry, I wish there was an inside pocket to hold a field book, but i'm okay without it. Overall happily satisfied with my purchase,

Well-designed and well-constructed

This hat rocks! It is lightweight, cool, and sturdy. The brim is wide enough to protect my face and ears -- and also is stiff so that it doesn't flop around in the wind. And finally the strap Is both heavy-duty and comfortable. Altogether a great high-visibility hat. Beats the heck out the baseball cap I was using. Am purchasing a second hat just in case Baseline quits carrying this style.

This should be built into every hardhat!

Every hardhat should come standard with these earplugs. I bought the permaplug and they seal very well and stay in your ears. I always forget ear protection so this is a ear-saving invention! Never be without ear protection again thanks these!

Good design but poorly executed.

I've been wearing the Party Chief PC15X for about 4 months now. Here are my thoughts.

Things I like:

Well thought out selection of pockets. Sizes, orientation, flaps, velcro, etc. all seem to be in the right places.

Breast pockets are very secure and I don't drop things when I kneel down.

I don't use them often, but I really like the side hand pockets too.

I like the large main YKK zipper.

Things I don't like:

This vest is HOT! It reminds me of wearing a flack jacket while in the military. It does not breath at all. Even in 80 degree weather I sweat excessively. When the weather gets above 100 degrees (which is usually about 20 days per year where I live) it is almost unbearable.

This vest is heavy. On my digital scale my (size large vest) weighs just over 2 lbs. empty!

The horizontal piece of webbing on each lapel is a bit narrow. I wish the webbing was wider to support various clip on items better (knife, radio microphone, etc.)

The rear pocket is a bit odd in that there are actually two of them. I've tried using both, but I tend not to be able to find the non-zippered one without using two hands, if the zippered one is open...so I usually just leave the zippered one zipped. I really wish there was a side radio pocket instead of two back pockets. The side cam-buckles don't work anyway and therefore are not needed.

Quality control is lacking. Within the first week or two I had seems coming apart on the Scotchlite material. Within a month the main zipper was coming off (only single stitched.) I immediately contacted the vendor where I purchased and was offered little support. Then I emailed the manufacturer directly and it was recommended that I use a lighter to melt the remaining threads to prevent more separation. Then the vendor then emailed to inform me that though there was no warranty the manufacturer agreed to repair my vest if I send it in. This was not really a valid option for me as I use my vest daily and didn't want to use my old one while I waited.

Seco Heavy Duty Lath Carroer 8102-01-ORG-L

This is a great lath carrier and I actually worked mine to death after years of use/abuse. Ordered another of the same model. The aluminum rod inserts hold the bag open for easy access, but bag closes up and hold contents secure for travelling over rough terrain. Will haul rebar no problem and can accommodate a tripod if necessary. Best option out there for a heavy duty lath bag.

The safe way to as-built pipelines

The SECO Pipeline As-built Kit that Baseline has put together is great. It is hands down the most functional and safe way we have found to as-built pipe in a ditch. We no longer have to worry about the ditch caving in on our employees or asking the contractor to dig a bell hole for us to access the pipe. It is simple to use and the magnet has just the right amount of force to stay on the pipe without damaging the coating. This is certainly one piece of equipment every pipeline surveyor needs in their truck.
