ChrisNik MAG Nails are designed for land surveying and construction layout applications where critical points need to be set in asphalt, wood, or other surfaces that can accept a nail. These hardened magnetic survey nails are built for durability, visibility, and easier future recovery of field-set points.
Because many survey points remain in place in real-world conditions, they must be recoverable later by the original surveyor or another surveyor returning to the site. The magnetically enhanced design helps make points easier to locate below the surface, which has made MAG Nails a preferred choice among surveyors worldwide.

Suggested Size Selection
3/4" x 1/8" - Common choice for concrete and other pre-drilled hard-surface applications where a smaller nail is preferred.
1" x 5/32" and 1-1/4" x 3/16" - Good mid-range options for lighter hard-surface work or smaller drilled holes.
1-1/2" x 1/4" and 2" x 1/4" - Versatile general-purpose sizes for survey and layout work in asphalt, wood, and similar surfaces.
2-1/2" x 1/4" - Popular choice for asphalt applications where additional holding power is preferred.
3-1/2" x 1/4" - Longest option for applications where deeper embedment is desired.
Application Notes
For concrete installations, pre-drilling is recommended.
Use a 3/16" masonry drill bit for the 1-1/4" MAG Nail.
Use a 1/4" masonry drill bit for the 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", and 3-1/2" MAG Nail sizes.
Size recommendations above reflect common field practice and jobsite preference.
